Apps and connected app permissions in ThemePages
Understand how connected apps can read information, support actions, and share data with ThemePages.
Overview
Apps bring external tools and business data into ThemePages so you can track revenue, connect funnels, sync product information, and work faster without leaving your workspace. Some apps only provide searchable or reportable context. Others may support actions, such as syncing checkout events, updating records, or preparing workflow changes you approve.
Connectors are apps
ThemePages uses the word apps for external systems that connect to your workspace. Older product language may call them connectors, integrations, or connected accounts. The purpose is the same: a connected app lets ThemePages access approved information from a provider or use approved capabilities from that provider.
App capabilities
Depending on the provider and your plan, an app may support search, sync, reporting, read-only context, or write actions. Search helps ThemePages find relevant information. Sync can index or update data in advance. Reporting helps match app data to creators, products, funnels, and campaigns. Write actions can create, update, move, send, or otherwise change information in a connected service when that capability is enabled.
App permissions
App permissions control when ThemePages should ask before using a connected app. Available options may include Always ask, Any changes, Important actions, and Never ask. Important actions is the safer default: ThemePages can use read-only information for normal reporting, but asks before actions that may have a meaningful effect outside ThemePages, expose sensitive information, or be difficult to undo.
Important actions
Important actions can include sending or editing communications, deleting content, canceling appointments, issuing refunds, managing subscriptions, moving files, changing sharing permissions, creating access credentials, changing security settings, or sharing sensitive personal, financial, identity, health, authentication, or business information. If one request includes several actions, ThemePages should treat the highest-risk action as the permission level that matters.
What permissions do not change
Changing an app permission does not connect a new app, grant new provider access, or expand what the provider has authorized. The data and actions available to ThemePages are determined by the provider, the authorization you completed, your workspace settings, and any admin controls. To remove access, disconnect the app or ask a workspace administrator to disable it.
Workspace and admin controls
Workspace owners and admins may control which apps are available, which members can use them, which actions are allowed, and whether new actions are enabled automatically or require review. Where available, admins may limit connected accounts to approved domains, configure app access by role or group, review action controls, disable apps, or require approval before higher-risk actions run.
Sync and account setup
Some apps may support sync. Sync can keep selected data up to date for faster reporting and better attribution. Depending on the app, sync may be enabled for an entire team or require each member to connect their own account. If a provider requires login, OAuth, webhook setup, API credentials, or callback URLs, ThemePages will guide you through the required setup flow.
Data shared with apps
Connected apps may receive information needed to complete the feature you requested. This may include basic account information, workspace context, device or browser information, language and region settings, approximate location, campaign metadata, product metadata, funnel metadata, or other relevant business context. Apps should only receive the information needed for the connected feature.
Data shared with payment providers
When you connect Stripe, ThemePages may receive basic account information, checkout sessions, payment events, subscriptions, customers, refunds, dispute status, product metadata, and related IDs needed to match revenue to creators, products, funnels, and campaigns. ThemePages does not need your Stripe login password.
Provider terms and privacy policies
The provider you connect remains responsible for its own services, terms, privacy policy, security controls, regional availability, account requirements, and plan limits. For Stripe, review Stripe Services Agreement at https://stripe.com/legal/ssa and Stripe Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy before connecting your account.
Availability and limits
Some apps or app capabilities may depend on your ThemePages plan, workspace settings, provider availability, provider account type, region, or admin configuration. A connect button may be unavailable if a provider does not support the region, if an admin has disabled the app, if required credentials are missing, or if the app is not available on the current plan.
Removing access
Disconnecting an app stops future syncing from that app inside ThemePages. The provider may also offer its own unlinking or revocation controls. Historical records that were already created, such as revenue reports, attribution logs, audit events, or accounting records, may be retained where needed for security, accounting, audit, legal, tax, compliance, or operational reasons.
